Established in 1972, Johnson County Developmental Supports is the community developmental disability organization for Johnson County, Kan. The organization coordinates services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a community service provider, Johnson County Developmental Supports creates a customized action plan to offer resources and services shaped to fit individual needs, preferences, goals, abilities and interests. These support services include residential assistance, employment supports, day activities, technical support and case management. Most of the organization s services are covered through public funding while others are arranged on a fee-for-service basis. Johnson County Developmental Supports employs more than 275 people and maintains a location in Lenexa, Kan.
