Capitol Federal Savings Bank has more than 30 stand-alone branch locations throughout Kansas City, Mo., and Emporia, Olathe, Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence and Manhattan, Kan. The bank also has eight in-store locations at retail stores, such as Super Target, Price Chopper, Hen House and Dillon s. The bank offers a comprehensive range of business and personal banking and financial services, including deposit accounts, certificates of deposit, personal loans, mortgages, investment management and Internet banking. The bank was founded in 1893 as the Savings and Loan Association of Topeka. After one year in business, its assets totaled only $8,171. More than a century later, Capitol Federal Savings Bank remains headquartered in Topeka.
