History

Jai Olive Wellness was created by Jazzmine Brooks. Brooks is a Health Educator, Fertility, Birth, and Postpartum Doula, Birth Scholar and community advocate. As the owner of Jai Olive Wellness, she promotes wholistic living for womxn of color and diverse backgrounds. Initially powered by the desire to address Black women's maternal health, she creates space for womxn to control their own narratives and be empowered in the birth space. Jai Olive Wellness provides fertility and birth services. Brooks first began her work as a violence prevention and sexual health educator and K-12/College health promotion professional. She is trained in working with diverse communities such as religious/spiritually connected individuals, LGBTQ+, a person(s) with a disability, and person(s) of immigrant status. Brooks also works with families that have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, as well as supporting trauma-survivors.

Jai Olive Wellness offers Fertility, Birth, and Postpartum Doula services in Des Moines/Ankeny/Ames and surrounding areas. As well as communal healing practices through our Lotus Sisters virtual bookclub and the Being Olivia Podcast. Additional Doula Services include: Sexual Health Education Virtual Doula Support Services Boutique Doula Support Services (3 months) Support includes support related to nutrition, herbal remedies, stress management, and trauma-informed care. LGBTQ Friendly. Discounts are available to low-income families, single parents, surrogates and folks considering adoption. *Spanish interpreter available for Spanish-speaking families
