I had literally the time of my life here. The staff are so nice and friendly . There is a fun small arcade. And the value for what you pay can't be beat. I had a lot of fun here

Welcome to Val Lanes Recreation Center This site is dedicated to serving your needs to explore the world of bowling at West Des Moines' hottest family fun center! Val Lanes was built in 1957. What was once a 24 lane bowling center, Val Lanes added 12 more lanes in 1959 to provide more entertainment in the West Des Moines community. Purchased by the Torgerson family ( Denny, Colleen, Jon, Tony & Randy ) in 2009, bringing with them years of combined bowling industry knowledge and experience, are able to give the continued customer service and entertainment experience Val Lanes has always been known to offer.

Everything. The ball returns are way too close for right handers. I came to this shithole for my 50th birthday. And it took forever to get through a single game. Balls didn't return. My $200 ball...

This was our food. Burnt, full of salt, cooked by the front desk woman who didn't have gloves or a hairnet on. She seemed overworked and annoyed we were even there. There was a ladder in our lane...

There are much better bowling centers to choose from. They did so much work to improve this place 15 years ago and have not touched it since. It' reeks of oil as if there was an oil leak with one...
