In 2002, the first Shane's Rib Shack was founded by Shane Thompson who started the restaurant using the secret barbecue sauce recipe of his grandfather. Since Atlanta-based Raving Brands acquired the concept, the restaurant has grown to become one of the country's fastest growing fast-casual barbecue concepts in America. Shane s menu includes choice-cut pork barbecue, rib sandwiches, chicken tenders and wings and more than 10 southern side items made from scratch, such as baked beans and fresh potato salad. With a location in Clive, Iowa, Shane's Rib Shack maintains several locations in North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio and New York.
