The winery started out as a small vineyard project that grew into a 3.5 acre vineyard and winery. The first vines went in 2003. We opened our tasting room and event center June 5th 2013. It started as a father/son hobby that grew a little out of control

Sunset Ridge Winery is a small family operated winery located in the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi and Little Maquoketa river valleys just 5 minutes north of Dubuque along Highway 52. What began in 2000 as a 50 vine garden project has blossomed into a 3 acre vineyard and fantastic winery . The winery, tasting room, and event area can accommodate small to large parties, wedding receptions, and regular music events. We offer homemade pizzas, garlic cheese sticks, homemade spicy pretzels, cheese, crackers, sausage, and of course wine, beer, and our famous Sangria!
