Great place to relax and have a drink. We stopped in while shopping to have a beer, plenty of tv's to watch all the sports. The bartender was very friendly even to us nonlocals.

This is your best chance for Black music (and people) in a bar in downtown Ames. It's jukebox-based. Play your songs on "next" status to keep the atmosphere where you want it to be.

Very friendly for 1st timers traveling through! Couldn't be nicer! It's like going back to an old time bar- not modern just clean , nest & well preserved! We enjoyed watching the Cubs game, cheap...
