Sand Hill Preservation Center is a privately funded gene bank and germplasm center located in Calamus, IA. With over 2500 varieties of vegetable crops and poultry, they are dedicated to genetic preservation and educating others about the importance of diversity in our food crops.

Founded in 1988, Sand Hill Preservation Center is committed to preserving rare and unusual varieties that are difficult to find elsewhere. They grow and maintain their collections on their 40-acre farm, and all funds generated go directly back into their efforts to improve and expand their collections.

I highly recommend purchasing your seeds through this small company. They only accept orders through the USPS, so plan ahead a little bit. Great prices and great product.
