History

City & National Employment was the first employment agency in the Waterloo area and has been in the placement business since 1955. It started with the placement of general laborers and secretaries. Over the next decade, it grew and developed placing higher level positions such as accountants. By the 1970's, it had developed a regional reputation placing people at all levels of jobs within a hundred-mile radius of Waterloo. In 1977, Paul Martin purchased the company and committed the company to growth and expansion. By 1980 the company was placing engineers, data processing and accounting personnel throughout the Midwest. The year 1989 brought about another specialty in the Information Technology area.
