Located in Cascade, Iowa, Cascade Communications specializes in communications services. The company's subsidiary MAC Wireless provides wireless PCS telephone services using GSM technology in the Monticello, Anamosa and Cascade areas. The service is provided in cooperation with iWireless allowing MAC Wireless subscribers wide area coverage. It provides communications services, such as local and long distance telephone, voice mail, internet services, basic and family cable, etc. The company has partnerships with iWireless and provides various wireless plans, cell phones and services to its customers in northeast Iowa.

In 1948 the electrical installation department of K & K Hardware was purchased by John Russell and renamed Russell Electric. Jack Schneckloth bought the company from the Russell family in 1984. Upon Jack's retirement in 2003, the Company was bought by the present owner, Jeffrey Lanum, who is a third generation electrician beginning his career in 1983.
