North West REC is a consumer-owned electric distribution utility that provides electric service to farm, residential, commercial, industrial and irrigation customers. The majority of the company s service territory is in Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth and Ida Counties in northwest Iowa, its service area also extends into Lyon, Osceola, Clay, Cherokee, Sac, Crawford and Woodbury counties. Additional services offered by North West REC include high-speed, wireless Internet service, DIRECTV, LongLines, for dial-up telecommunications and Questionline, a free technical information and problem solving service. North West REC Iowa headquarters are in Orange City and the company has district offices in Le Mars and Ida Grove, Iowa.
