Dr. Faraaz Zafar is a dedicated and highly trained dermatologist with a passion for providing comprehensive skin care. Dr. Zafar earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and pursued his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his Transitional Year Internship at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, followed by a dermatology residency at Marshfield Clinic Health System in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Dr. Zafar chose dermatology because he is fascinated by the variety and complexity of skin conditions and enjoys the mix of medical, surgical, cosmetic, oncologic, and preventative care. His special interests lie in complex medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery, with a focus on helping patients achieve clear skin and the best cosmetic outcomes. Outside of RC Dermatology, Dr. Zafar enjoys sports, weightlifting, reading, exploring new cuisines, and playing the guitar. At 6'9", he quite literally brings a unique perspective to the practice. He looks forward to serving the dermatological needs of his diverse patient population and making a positive impact in their lives.
