Mercyone Des Moines Gynecologic Cancer Care

House of Mercy, located on six acres of land in Des Moines inner city, is dedicated to assisting single, pregnant, and parenting adolescent or adult women in developing personal responsibility and independence through counseling, education and primary medical care in collaboration with other providers. House of Mercy is Iowa s largest provider of transitional housing for women undergoing treatment for substance abuse. Its Mercy Child Development Center is a licensed child-care facility that serves the children of House of Mercy residential, outpatient and continuing care clients, as well as alumnae. Both organizations are part of the Mercy Medical Center, a 917-bed acute care, nonprofit Catholic hospital, located on three Des Moines campuses.
