One of the best and biggest skate parks in the US if I'm not mistaken.. I believe it was built for the xgames too. Plenty of skating for all different skill levels. Free to skate and park love it.

Lauridsen Skatepark, opened on May 7, 2021, is the largest skatepark in the nation, located at the north end of the Principal Riverwalk in Des Moines, Iowa. Spanning 88,000 square feet, it features Olympic caliber park and street courses, including unique elements such as a flow bowl, amoeba pool, snake run, and a skateable art piece titled WOW.
Heavily influenced by the surrounding topography and water table, the skatepark offers an array of thrilling features for skaters of all levels. The facility is managed by Polk County Conservation and includes a newly completed parking lot accommodating approximately 100 vehicles.

We stopped by to check the skate park and were completely blown away. It was a Sunday morning and there were a lot of people here but its so big it didnt seem crowded. On site bathrooms available...

This is a paradise for skateboarders young and old at any skill level. You won't be disappointed. 2 thumbs straight up there
