On September 1, 1983, Gold-Eagle Cooperative first staked its claim by serving farmers in north-central Iowa. After merging Farmers Elevator Company of Goldfield and Farmers Cooperative Company of Eagle Grove, the company began defining itself and designing its future. In 1991, Renwick Farmers Cooperative members joined the organization, followed by Livermore Farmers Cooperative Elevator Company farmers in 1992 and shareholders in Corwith Community Cooperative in 1996. As its customers found ways to grow more corn and soybeans, the cooperative increased storage by 3 million bushels. Permanent storage is now more than 16 million bushels, and when added to the company s temporary storage capacity, Gold-Eagle has nearly 19 million bushels of total storage capacity. Gold-Eagle Cooperative is located in Goldfield, Iowa.
