The Imes Covered Bridge, built in 1870, is the oldest of the five remaining covered bridges in Madison County, Iowa. Originally constructed over the Middle River near Patterson, it has been relocated twice and is now situated in a small park on the east side of St. Charles, making it easily accessible for tourists.
