Hospice

Located in Ottumwa, Iowa, Hospice is a community-based health care organization that provides support and hospice care services for individuals who suffer from life-limiting illnesses. Founded in 1982 as Hospice of Wapello County, the organization offers assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and hair and oral care. It conducts training in the areas of light housekeeping, meal preparation and personal hygiene maintenance. The organization provides pain and symptom management, counseling and bereavement support services. Hospice offers respite care, nursing assistance and 24-hour supervision services. It is a member of the Iowa Hospice Organization and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Hospice serves Keokuk, Mahaska, Appanoose, Jefferson and Van Buren counties in Iowa.
