Hinton Community School

Hinton Community School is an educational institution that offers services to students in kindergarten through grade 12. Established in 1876, it conducts classes in various subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, natural sciences, social studies and English. Located in Hinton, Iowa, the school offers basic learning sessions in physical education, computer applications, music, choir and choreography. It also provides several sports programs, such as football, cheerleading, wrestling, golf, and track and field. In addition, Hinton Community School offers a vocational and technical curriculum that develops basic entry-level job competency skills among students. It publishes a monthly newsletter called Blackhawk. The school employs a staff of more than 60 teachers and paraprofessionals, including guidance counselors, technology instructors and media specialists.
