Hartman Reserve Nature Center, established in 1976, is a 300-acre wooded sanctuary supported by membership donations. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities and experiences, including summer camps, in the heart of the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area.

The Nature Center features two buildings available for weddings, receptions, parties, retreats, and meetings. Events can be hosted at the rustic Interpretive Center and the Gene & Betty Buckles Program Center, also known as the Green Building.
