Kallin-Johnson Monument Company has been a part of the Fort Dodge business community since 1921, when Swedish stone cutter Anton Kallin and his nephew Erick Johnson established the company. The company is still family owned by Erick's son, Dennis Johnson and grandson, Scott Johnson. Today, Kallin-Johnson is Iowa's largest monument company. We have offices in eight Iowa cities: Charles City, Cherokee, Forest City, Hampton, Mason City, Sac City, Webster City and Sioux City. We do anything related to granite, marble and stone, including public and civic memorials, signs, residential and commercial countertops. There is a lot of hand work involved and all of our monuments are customized to incorporate the ideas and preferences of our customers. To help accomplish this, we have three full-time graphic artists on staff. Unlike some vendors of monuments, we handle the finishing work in our own workshop.
