The Freedom Rock, established in 1999 and located in rural Iowa, is a large boulder that is repainted annually to honor the nation's veterans. Artist Ray Bubba Sorensen II, inspired by the film "Saving Private Ryan," dedicates his efforts to create unique murals that express gratitude for their service.
