Will J. Hayek started his law practice in 1926 and practiced until his death in 1982. His firm, now Hayek, Brown, Moreland & Smith, LLP, has operated from Washington Street in the heart of downtown Iowa City since its founding. As a general practice firm, we provide legal services throughout eastern Iowa and beyond. Our clients range from individuals and small businesses to large employers and corporations. We hold an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Marjorie Hayek, the wife of Will J. Hayek, studied under contemporaries of Grant Wood and became a celebrated local artist. During her life, Mrs. Hayek's work was shown in galleries and museums from Iowa to New York.
