Youth Homes of Mid-America is a private, nonprofit children s and family social service agency. It is governed by a 25-member volunteer board of directors. The agency is licensed by the Iowa Department of Human Services. Youth Homes of Mid-America provides health care, rehabilitation, assisted living, family support, and psychological and substance abuse counseling services. It operates Ross Campus Residential Treatment Center and Supervised Apartment Living. In addition, Youth Homes of Mid-America provides parenting skills, youth transition, and educational and vocational programs. The agency maintains a location in Johnston, Iowa.
