Nice swimming beach with boat and kayak rentals and a snack shop that offers $1 life jacket rentals for the kiddos. Lots of shade trees, picnic benches, shady grass adjacent to the sandy beach area.

Very nice beach area for swimming/wading! And it doesn't feel like it's right near the heart of the city! Very packed during the summer! There is plenty of shaded areas in the grass to throw down...
