Following an internship at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, he completed an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Widely regarded as one of the leading eye centers in the world, Dr. Alliman furthered his education at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship. As a board-certified and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon, Dr. Alliman has been seeing patients with Wolfe Eye Clinic since 2010.

Strohbehn, MD is a board-certified, fellowship trained retina specialist whose focus includes the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and retinal tears or detachment. Dr. Strohbehn joined Wolfe Eye Clinic in 2021 and sees patients at our Carroll, Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Spencer and Ottumwa office locations.
