Des Moines Area Community College has an annual enrollment of more than 27,000 college credit students and over 32,000 enrolled in continuing education and business training classes. The college offers more than 75 career programs and has a professional staff of over 2,800 faculty and staff members. It has various academic departments, such as architectural technologies, accounting, agribusiness, biotechnology, criminal justice, commercial horticulture and dental assisting. The Kuemper Catholic Middle School - St. Lawrence Center offers educational programs to students in grades six through eight.
