Covered Bridges Scenic Byway

The Madison County Historical Society has evolved since its establishment in 1904, now encompassing a complex of 14 buildings set across 23 scenic acres in Winterset, Iowa. At its heart lies the beautifully restored 1856 Bevington-Kaser House, showcasing Victorian-era furnishings and a diverse collection of artifacts including Native American items, Civil War memorabilia, and early farm machinery.
