Bethany Lutheran Home was founded and sponsored in 1975 by 15 area Lutheran Churches. All of the Bethany staff, including our full-time Chaplain provide loving, compassionate care in a faith based environment. People of all faiths are welcome. Our professional staff are dedicated to meeting the needs of our residents physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually through our programs and services. Bethany's staff are selected because of their excellent workplace skills demonstrated in an attitude of care and love. Midlands Living Center, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is a locally owned and operated nursing care service for senior citizens. It offers a 100-bed rehabilitation and recuperation center for use following an illness or injury and provides professional staff, dietary services and recreation programs. Its nursing services include medication administration, respiratory treatments, pain control, wound treatment, restorative exercise, diabetic management, monitoring of medical conditions and vital signs, and intravenous therapy. It also offers physical, occupational and speech therapies. Additionally, it provides laundry services, cable television, transportation to medical appointments and recreational and spiritual activities. Midlands Living Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid and UnitedHealthcare Medicare Complete.
