Cerro Gordo County Sheriff

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff s Office preserves human lives and property, protects public peace and the rights of citizens, prevents crime and disorder, and enforces local, state and federal laws. It undertakes various criminal cases and works with agencies at all levels in the exchange of information to the public. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff Office supports the Crime Stoppers program, which is affiliated with the National Crime Stoppers Organization and provides opportunities for citizens to report illegal activities to volunteers of the program. Located in Mason City, Iowa, the office maintains a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to law, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, first aid, patrol procedures and investigations.
