My grandfather bought a bar in Harvey, IL in 1948, with money he made from bootlegging, after he got out of jail for bootlegging. That bar was called Zombie Club. When I was a little girl my mom used to tell me the story, what a cool name for a bar I used to think. Back in those days it was a big deal to own your own business, so my grandfather (John Anello), changed the name of the bar to Anello's. Pabst Blue Ribbon beer gave him a sign that said, Anello's Pabst Blue Ribbon. Over time everyone started calling the bar the Blue Ribbon. I sold the family business about 10-15 years ago, after being in business for almost 50 yrs.

Tiki bar with tropical atmosphere & not your average bar food to match, daily & weekend dinner specials. Tropical & martini drink list, large beer selection, plus weekly specials. Come join us for something out of the ordinary!

I love it here! Great atmosphere in a historic building, and the bartenders are genuinely cool people. They have a pop up kitchen The Traveler on Wed-Sat nights that is amazing!

Great place for a drink or to spend an evening with a group of friends . The regular bar menu is great the tacos at supper time are probably the best I've ever had

A crowded small club, full of college kids. Nice staff. Good drinks. Not good food. Definitely stay away from the potstickers and chili. Loud and continual rap music. My last attempt at this...
