Youth Opportunity Center

Founded in 1896 and located in Muncie, Ind., Youth Opportunity Center is a residential youth care organizations specializing in providing a wide range of personalized care services through professionally trained staff and revolutionary facilities. The center offers various residential cottage programs, such as emergency shelters, specialized treatment for emotionally disturbed youth, intensive adolescent care programs designed to meet the customized needs of the individuals. It offers TASC unit, a residential treatment program devoted to helping adolescents dealing with severe psychiatric and chemical dependency problems. The center offers a wide variety of general services, such as residential facilities, routine medical, dental and vision care, accredited education, tutoring, court representation, transportation assistance, diagnostic testing, recreation services, individualized treatment planning, counseling, parenting classes, and adventure-based challenge education. It also performs full diagnostic testing that includes psycho educational evaluation, substance abuse screening, intellectual functioning, academic achievement, eating disorder screening, personality and vocational testing.
