Special Cutting Tools was founded in the early 1940's. The honing tools company originally produced "Special" tooling, the product from which our name was derived. During the 1970's, Special Cutting Tools decided to make a strategic move into the high tolerance field of honing tools and honing stones. During the last 30 years, Special Cutting Tools has arisen as an industry leader in developing honing tooling, fixturing, and abrasives. In 2007, the company expanded its product offerings through the purchase of Burr-Ban, a complete line of single pass clothespin style hole-deburring tools.We are a leading designer and manufacturer of honing tools, fixtures and turnkey processes for many blue chip companies around the globe.
