Utility Consumer Counselor

Created in 1933, the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor serves residential and business consumers throughout the United States. It represents the interests of residential, commercial and industrial utility customers before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The office conducts seminars on topics related to cable regulation, energy safety tips and insulation installation. It also imparts energy safety and conservation skills to children. The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor offers guest speakers for business events, civic groups, community organizations and neighborhood associations. It also publishes articles on issues related to electricity, natural gas and telecommunications. The Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor is located in Indianapolis.
