The Hostess House is a beautiful historic architectural landmark that is open for lunch weekdays and is available for special events. Built in 1912 by prominent Marion businessman J. Wood Wilson as a wedding gift to his bride Peggy, It was designed by Samuel Plato, a notable African American architect. All proceeds go to maintain and preserve this historically significant structure. A gift shop and resale shop also support the house. Many weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, art shows and other social events have been held in this lovely, gracious building since 1950. Tours are available upon request.

I really love the hostess house the history of the house is very interesting I ate there once just before Christmas they have delicious mint ice cream
