MCTD was founded in 1983 as Michigan City Tool & Die Inc Over the years, many changes have taken place in the diversity of projects undertaken. To reflect the company's growth into a full service machine builder, the company's name was changed from Michigan City Tool & Die Inc to MCTD, Inc in the year 2000. MCTD now stands for Machines, Controls, Tooling, and Design. MCTD, Inc has evolved into one of the premier special machine builders in Northern Indiana.
