HistoryIn July of 1993, Dr. Margaret Inman became a partner in Eagle Highlands General Surgery.The general surgery practice focused mainly on bariatrics through the WinLife program at Winona Hospital. In October of 2001, Dr Inman started her own company,General Surgery of Central Indiana. Her practice grew rapidly and in July of 2002, Dr. Christopher Evanson joined her in practice. Dr. Evanson's training in advanced laparoscopic surgery influenced Dr Inman to forge ahead and the group started doing laparoscopic bariatric procedures. In November of 2002, Dr Evanson performed the first Lap-Band Adjustable Gastric banding procedure at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital.
