St. Mary s Health System is a Catholic-sponsored, nonprofit health system encompassing several facilities throughout Indiana and the surrounding states. In addition to traditional services, the health system also offers a variety of advanced care services and centers including: women and children services, a cancer center, a heart institute, a rehabilitation institute, the Joslin diabetes center, a bariatric center, a variety of senior services, an emergency and trauma center, a breast center, surgical services and a variety of outpatient services including laboratory and radiological services and a sleep disorder center. The Daughters of Charity founded the hospital in the late 1800s as part of their mission to care for the poor and the sick through the charity of Christ.

Deaconess Wound Services

Deaconess Hospital is a 360-plus-bed, acute care facility that serves the residents of southern Indiana and Illinois, as well as western Kentucky. The hospital employs more than 3,000 people. Its 24-hour emergency department treats over 50,000 patients annually. Deaconess Hospital performs cardiovascular, orthopedic, urological and general surgeries. The hospital offers a variety of wellness programs for industrial and corporate clients. It provides vaccination and health screening and assessment programs.
