The Shakamak State Park is comprised of man-made lakes that cover more than 400 acres of its area. The Shakamak State Park maintains an aquatic center that provides a venue for swimming activities. The park s possessions and facilities include a nature center, boat launch ramp, paddleboat, rowboat, hiking trails and cabins. It serves as a venue for organizing a variety of activities that includes tennis, fishing and boating. Located in Jasonville, Ind., the park is a place for conducting picnics and camps. The Shakamak State Park is owned and operated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, which maintains various parks, inns and reservoirs.

The park is beautiful. Not greatly maintained however. This could be lack of employee issue. Trees in the road, large sticks, etc. The pool didn't have enough chairs for the visitors that came on...
