Shaka Shack Coffee and More

History

My older sis took me to this joint called Blue Mountain Cafe on Columbia street west in downtown Fort Wayne. It was this hip bohemian styled coffeehouse with live entertainment on the weekends. As we sat down I remember being mesmorized by the aroma, the look, the feel, the sounds...it was such a visceral moment for me. But above all of it....no one was alone. In my adolescence, I thought to myself there's a place where loneliness doesn't belong and it's here! Every table filled with people laughing, listening, talking and singing....this was a monumental moment for an awkward pre-teen who didn't have a lot of friends at the time. I thought to myself...if I could ever create a space where people can come together, where loneliness doesn't belong...where friendships can be built and a community be made stronger...then this is the kind of place I would want to be a part~Shaka Shack!

A funky little coffeehouse with an Aloha twist! We strive to create an atmosphere where everyone belongs...our staff, environment and commitment to high quality espresso, coffee, and drink varieties (along with some pretty amazing pastries/food) keep our ohana coming back! Mahalo!
