Aging and Community Services is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing a wide range of social services to residents of south central Indiana. We are Indiana's Area 11 Agency on Aging and have served the residents of Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties for 33 years. Life changes with age and disability. Our goals are to help people discover their own strengths and enable them to Maximize Their Independence by living better, healthier lives on their own terms. In addition to addressing elder issues, Aging and Community Services sponsors other programs that provide essential services for individuals of all ages. For example, you will find such diverse programs as, Legal Services Long Term Care Ombudsman, and First Call For Help 211 under our umbrella. We work together so that you can find what you need now and for the future. When you need answers to questions about in-home care, senior centers, living facilities, transportation and many other community services or federal and state programs (Medicare, Options and CHOICE, for example), call us. Our experienced and certified staff will help you find answers through our Link-Age Aging and Disability Resource Center. A call to our First Call For Help 211 information and assistance program will provide you with access to a wide variety of community resources for individuals of ALL ages. Our Caring Connections Volunteer Programs offers volunteer opportunities for people of all ages to share their compassion, skills and friendly contact with those in need. Volunteers provide the special touch that enables our clients and neighbors to thrive.
