The Ferry Street Resource Center is a non profit advocacy and referral center funded, in part, by the Department of Housing and Urban Development with support from the City of Niles and through various fund raising and grant assistance programs. The facility is housed in the historic Ferry Street School, formerly known as the "the old colored school". As a community advocacy center, the focus of the Ferry Street Resource Center (FSRC) is to educate and empower residents that live within the north central side of the city and beyond. The major areas of concentration will be in community health, educational enhancement, employment training, well family services and cultural awareness.The mission statement of the Ferry Street Resource Center is to access support services and create educational, employment, cultural, and recreational programs and activities that enhance the quality of living for the clients served.

We Care is a faith-based non-profit organization that has been serving the community of Lee Township, MI for nearly 40 years. They are dedicated to meeting the needs of all their neighbors, regardless of income or age, and provide relief through volunteerism, opportunities to give back, and assistance to those in need. We Care partners with local churches, agencies, and organizations to offer over 25 programs and ministries, providing direct services to clients and matching them with available resources. They also serve as a resource center for the community, offering workshops, education, and support to those in need. With the generosity of their donors, We Care is able to meet over 9,850 requests for help each year, assisting more than 5,000 families. They provide supplemental meals and gifts to over 250 families in need annually and offer opportunities for individuals to donate physical goods to their pantries. We Care is committed to making a difference in the community and relies on the support of volunteers, funds, and physical goods to sustain their pantries, programs, and ministries.Generated from the website
