About Gallery Established in 2004, KL Art Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Lafayette, Indiana. The space was initially set up as a studio space for artist Kimlien Tran, and has evolved into both a studio and an art gallery. It is open to the public and features original pieces in oil, watercolor, pastel, and other media. KL Art Gallery adheres to the highest professional standards and is happy to work with first-time and experienced collectors. We offer friendly and personal services. Commissions are welcome. If you would like more information, please go to the About the Artist Kimlien Tran was born in Vietnam and came to the United States in 1980. She attended the University of Washington where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Kimlien has always been passionate about art and has experimented with various forms of mediums, including charcoal, pencil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and oil. Her paintings tend to "capture the moment" and convey emotions, reflecting her own experiences and inner feelings. Many of her works are influenced by her heritage and Asian culture.
