Monroe Township Conservation Club
The Monroe Township Conservation Club (MTCC), established in the early 1940s by a group of local fox hunters, has grown from a small gathering to a thriving nonprofit organization with over 450 members. Since its incorporation in 1950, MTCC has engaged in numerous service projects, collaborating with local schools, government entities, and other organizations to promote conservation and outdoor education.
In addition to providing training spaces for various community groups, MTCC has played a significant role in environmental restoration, including the re-seeding of approximately 100 acres of Indiana prairie grasslands. The club also supports youth activities through its Education Center, established in 2001, and awards scholarships in memory of a founding member, furthering its commitment to community development and conservation education.
