Mohammad F. Mathbout, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist with Norton Heart & Vascular Institute. He earned his medical degree from Alfaisal University College of Medicine, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Kentucky, and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. Dr. Mathbout is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear medicine. His special interests include intravascular imaging, high-risk/complex coronary interventions and mechanical circulatory support. He works closely with his patients to provide tailored care. When away from work, Dr. Mathbout enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and playing chess.
