Metro Plastics was founded in 1975 to service a broad range of customers including consumer electronics, medical, automotive, housewares and specialty products. Its services include thermoplastic injection molding, decorating, assembly and packaging. The company s machine sizes range from 60 to 750 tons. Each machine is equipped with automated material handling and robotics to improve quality and productivity. Specialty services include insert molding and two-shot molding. Metro Plastics has developed a two-shot master base to allow its customers to purchase two-shot tooling at a lower cost. Rapid prototyping services include three stereo-lithography machines on site to provide design models for urethane castings. Metro Plastics also supports prototyping needs with bridge tooling and short runs.
