Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana is a private, nonprofit organization serving seniors and persons with disabilities of all ages since 1974. Its case management services provide in-home assessments to authorize funded services for senior citizens. It offers nutrition services to more than 1,000 elderly and disabled individuals and its family caregiver program assists caregivers with information, education, support groups and caregiving resources. It also has a senior community service employment program that provides a training structure to improve employment prospects. AIHS is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and is funded by the Older Americans Act, Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Disabled and public and private donations. It serves the Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties in northeast Indiana and is based in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Lifeline Youth & Family Services, located in Fort Wayne, Ind., offers a variety of prevention, intervention and after care services for children and families. The nonprofit organization serves more than 5,000 children and families every year. It works with youth from over 30 Indiana counties and accepts residential placements for children from anywhere in the United States. The organization additionally offers an independent living program for girls. The program gives young women the opportunity to begin learning skills needed to find and keep a job, maintain an apartment and live on their own. The services are provided through more than 100 employees of the organization.

Established in 1975, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Wayne is a nonprofit organization offers a variety of services for children atrisk. It serves Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley counties in Indiana. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Wayne administers a community-based mentoring program that serves more than 300 community members every year. Additionally, it supports a school-based mentoring program that includes recreational, health, community and academic activities. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Wayne conducts the Bowl for Kids Sake event, which is a nationwide fundraising activity. Located in Fort Wayne, Ind., the organization is an affiliated agency of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, which is one of the leading mentoring organizations for children in the United States.
