Lawrence Map

Lawrence is a city in Marion County, Indiana, United States. It is one of four "excluded cities" in Marion County. The city is home to Fort Benjamin Harrison within Fort Harrison State Park. The population was 44,429 at the 2010 census. The city is also adjacent to the east side of Indianapolis.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 20.2 square miles (52.3 km²), of which, 20.1 square miles (52.0 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (0.50%) is water.
