History

While recovering from a Achilles repair, I found myself contemplating life. Two decades as a Paramedic had taken its toll and it was clear change was necessary. The many long months of immobilization was torturous. The ability to jump on a bike and ride for hours was gone. As soon as physically able, I grabbed my digital camera and set out to photograph my cycling friends. Turned out that others loved the results. Request after request for photos began arriving. Having never shared my work before, it was flattering to realize others wanted to purchase the photographs. In just a few short weeks, I was hired to shoot the Indiana State Time Trial Championship event soon followed by the Ohio State Time Trial Championship. An Ohio newspaper requested to use one of photos and it was picked up by the Associated Press. The long recovery period combined with a fascination of photography to open another door. After selling hundreds of photos, John Legg Photography was established.
