Dr. Murphy was born and raised in Philadelphia. After graduating high school, he moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, where he continued to run collegiate track and developed a strong interest in medicine. During his college experience, he spent two years in Hawaii serving a mission for his church. It was on his mission where he truly learned how to love others through dedicated service.

The American Health Network, also known as AHN, serves individuals through various locations in Indiana and Ohio. Founded in 1994, it is a health care system that performs medical procedures in the areas of otolaryngology, oncology, gynecology and neurology. The system manages a staff of more than 1,500 employees. The American Health Network performs several surgical procedures. The system offers pain management services. It also provides X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, CT scan and MRI solutions. The American Health Network offers treatment for Alzheimer s disease, epilepsy and sleep disorders. The system additionally provides medical services for spondylitis, spider veins and turf toe injuries. It administers a smoking cessation program.
