Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County offers a wide range of after school programs and activities for children of ages 6 to 18. The club, established in 1957 and based in Richmond, Ind., serves more than 2,000 youth annually. It also operates as an extension of Morrison-Reeves Library, providing a Positive Alternatives Program for suspended or expelled students in all of the Wayne County School District. The club is a partner with the Whitewater Valley Obesity Task Force to run the Stop Taking On Pounds program and also serves as a Youth Service Bureau for the state of Indiana. It employs over 30 staff members at its various club locations and receives more than 200 volunteers annually.
